This year we have pure breed moden game bantam hens running in with our white & a few black sumtras so eggs may be a mix of pure breeds and cross moden game.
The moden hens are pure breed bantams in : White, and silver duckwing.
The sumatras head has an intelligent, wild-bird appearance with a small pea comb, tiny or no wattles, and large dark eye, thel skin colour is a ripe mulbery.
The legs are glossy slate blue, and the cocks frequently have a cluster of several spurs on each leg (a breed peculiarity).
Both sexes have a long tail carried low, but the male has a particularly impressive heavy sweep of long, curving, sharply pointed tail feathers.
The breed is considered a primitive one; the Sumatra retains a strong flying ability, unlike most modern chicken breeds.
The males can fight for dominance, but unlike most breeds, they usually do not fight to the death we have three boys living togther and no fights or problems!
6 Hatching eggs as fresh as possible, no more than 5 days old.
PLEASE NOTE:
- As we may have more egg orders than eggs available, please contact us first to make sure we will have eggs avaialble for you if timing is critical.
- We can mix our large fowl eggs for you (only when available) so if you would like a mix of eggs just let us know!
- Always leave your eggs for 24 hours to rest before you start to incubate them.
Whilst we cannot and doo not guarantee the fertility or your hatch rate once eggs have been sent through the post and left to your incubation skills, we do have excellent hatch rates with our posted eggs and 100% with the brahma eggs set here.
Should you have any infertile eggs, then as long as you return them to us before day 15 we will be happy to replace them for you free of charge
(when eggs are available or convenient to you.)
All we ask is that you return them in the original egg posting box after candling at 10-12 days and pay the postal charge for us to send you more eggs free of charge.
